I can remember my early experiences of music being many. My parents listened to a variety of classical music when I was young and it became the foundation for my love of acoustical music. We would sit around the piano and sing along as my mother would play old campfire songs like “This Little Light of Mine”, old hymns like “Amazing Grace”, movie themes from the Sound of Music and the chorus parts to Handel’s Messiah. When I was twelve years old my mother discovered me trotting my horse to the rhythm of “On Eagle’s Wings” and singing along. I would sing my favorite songs as I fed our horses, built tree houses with my younger brothers or went to the neighbor’s house for movie night to watch all the old musicals.

I was blessed to have a mother who encouraged me to expand my love for music by getting me into piano lessons at age ten and voice lessons at age twelve. By my Senior year of high school I had decided that the only thing I really wanted to major in at college was music, so I chose to be a Vocal Performance Major at Belhaven University. It was a wonderful experience and gave me the opportunity to grow into who I wanted to be as a musician.

For many years I struggled with the inward knowing that I wanted to write my own music. I much prefer playing the music that the Lord has inspired me to write and it has always been a struggle to perform other people’s music. There are definitely amazing artists out there whose music I really enjoy singing and playing, although there is a constant inward nagging telling me that I need to get out there and release my own sound, my own heart-song.

With the release of my first Album titled “Peace Like A River” in May 2019, my hope is to share a small portion of the music that is inside of me. This album includes several of my all time favorite hymns, plus one original song titled “Who Can Say”. I also wrote an additional chorus to the famous hymn “Just As I Am”. The album includes the songs, as well as the instrumental version of each song so that a person can sing along with my arrangement or just have a soothing instrumental track for listening.

Hopefully you will find the lyrics inspiring and heartwarming, uplifting and encouraging. My heart’s desire in releasing this album is to bring back the depth of faith and inspiration found in the old hymns that have touched so many lives in past centuries. These hymns have such deep roots in history - starting all the way back with the original author, their inspiration to write the song, and the impact each song has had on thousands, if not millions, of individuals throughout the pages of history. I hope you enjoy this album as much as I enjoy singing the songs and sharing the history!

My original song “Who Can Say” has been a work in progress since 2011. Over the years the Lord had me revisit the song periodically and add a few words, make a few changes, and then in early 2019 I just had the feeling that “it is finished”. I’m so thankful that Brant Fricker encouraged me to add it to my first album. It feels so fulfilling to have an original work to share with you, and I can hardly wait till the next album with even more originals!

Know that in every song I write or perform there is always and element of Love, Hope and Discovery. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Chris dearly, and He is my daily inspiration and source of strength. He has given me a very adventurous spirit which has taken me around the world and back to sing and work with different Christian ministry organizations as well as educate people on the power of Natural Health and Wellness with my Life Coaching Business.

With your help, I would like to reach the world with this new sound of Love and Discovery. Would you please help me by sharing my music and following me on social media. Write me and tell me how the music has personally effected you. I believe that it will touch you deeply!

Thank you for joining me on this journey of a lifetime!

Much love,

Elizabeth Rose

The Destiny Project

At age twelve I was out feeding my horses and said a very life-defining prayer. I asked the Lord to show me one thing that I could do to serve people and make an impact for His Kingdom. What almost instantly came to mind was the inspiration of owning a ranch that would serve as a retreat center for families to come, get away from the normal hustle and bustle of life, participate in outdoor activities with each other, receive ministry and counseling, eat healthy food and make sure that each person goes away with a “full love tank”.

Since that first prayer, much has transpired. The dream has grown and taken on a life of its own. With the help of the Lord and many other people, I am seeing this project come together. The vision has now grown to incorporate a retreat center on one portion of the property and a conference center and training center on another portion of the property. The goal is to be a training and equipping center where groups of people from different backgrounds and interests can come to participate in workshops and conferences focused on their desired area of learning.

One week can be focused on music and well-known artists will be brought in to do a music workshop. Another week can be specifically geared towards Christian ministry and missions. Another week will have focused training for businessmen and women who need tools to incorporate their faith and moral values in their workplace. Hosting events to serve veterans and public service men and women is another aspect of what we will offer. We desire for the retreat center to also be a safe place where leaders can come to relax, receive personal ministry by experienced inner healing ministers and know that their most personal needs will be looked after with great care and nondisclosure.

The name “Destiny” came to mind one day when I was praying and thinking about the hope that we have in the Lord for fullness of life and joy and prosperity. Jeremiah 29:11 is a foundation verse for this belief.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The Lord does indeed had a good plan for each and every person. It is up to us to understand our identity as a son or daughter of the Most High God, the Creator of the Universe, and then allow the Lord to guide and direct our lives so that we live in the fullness of who we were created to be.

Currently there is a small group of individuals working on this project with the goal for the first ranch to be located near Kerrville, TX. We believe that once there is one functioning location, other leaders will come along and want to create an organization of properties around the world who offer similar venues, all with the goal of training and equipping the Body of Christ to be effective in their area of expertise.

If reading this touches your heart and you would like to be a part of this project, if you have expertise teaching on a specific topic, if you are in management and looking for a part-time or full-time position, if you are an investor who would like to fund a portion of this project, please contact me. I would love to meet you!
